MY LAST CLASSROOM TEST IS OVER! It felt like this day would never come! The last week has been one of the most exhausting weeks I have had in a long time. But I can now proudly say I have completed 2 years of academic physical therapy school and start my 40 weeks of clinical physical therapy school in 10 DAYS!
A couple of the girls in my class decided the proper way to celebrate after our last exam was to stuff ourselves with delicious breakfast food! Paige, Alisa, Layla, Anna and I were joined by Alisa's parents from out of town to indulge at Keys Cafe. We all ordered one of the biggest meals on the menu because we wanted a little bit of everything. It really hit the spot! Especially the bacon! :)
After breakfast I drove Kyle and couple of his team mates to the airport for their game in Montreal Saturday night. I'm bummed that Kyle can't help me celebrate my last day of classes, but he did buy me a bottle of champagne that he is requiring me to save until Sunday evening when he gets home.
I also called my parents after I was finished. The conversation was brief but they were excited to hear from me!
My plan during this off week is to enjoy some much needed outdoors time, sleep A LOT, unpack those car loads I mentioned before, and enjoy time with family and friends that is much over due. I have a 'to do' list (of course), but my tasks have shifted from; turn in resume, study for test, do pediatric eval etc. to more exciting things like; stand up paddling on Lake Calhoun, use my Groupons, putt putt golf etc.
To my classmates: I want to thank you guys for an amazing two years! I can't believe how quickly the time went by. It has truly been a blessing to get to know each one of you and I wish you all well in all of your endeavors, inside and outside of the PT world!
It's time to take a nap. I hope to see as many of you as I can before I leave next week!
Kaitlin
